Shooting Stars: Reception & Year 1 Futsal Sessions
We’re excited to launch our Shooting Stars sessions for Reception and Year 1 children – the perfect introduction to sport through the fast, fun, and exciting game of futsal. This session is in partnership with Kettering FC.
What is Shooting Stars?
Shooting Stars is Northants Futsal Club’s first step on the player pathway, designed to give young children the best start in sport. The programme combines two phases:
⭐ Learn to Play (Reception)
Play-focused activities that develop movement, balance, and coordination.
Fun ball games that build teamwork, confidence, and creativity.
A safe, supportive environment where making friends and having fun comes first.
⭐ Play to Compete (Year 1)
Builds on the basics with more structured futsal activities.
Introduction to simple rules, positions, and tactics in game-like situations.
Encourages problem-solving, resilience, and working as part of a team.
The Pathway for Your Child
From futsal to football: Shooting Stars provides a strong technical foundation that transfers perfectly into grassroots football.
Kettering FC Partnership: We’re proud to be working with Kettering FC, giving Year 1 children a natural pathway into their U7 football teams once they are ready to take their next steps.
Ongoing futsal journey: Children also have the option to continue with Northants Futsal into our Foundation Programme, developing further in the sport of futsal.

Practical Info
Who for: Reception & Year 1 children (ages 4–6).
Session length: 45–60 minutes.
What to bring: Trainers, sports kit, and a water bottle.
Parents: Welcome to stay and watch the fun.
✨ Shooting Stars is all about fun, friendships, and first steps into sport – helping every child shine, whether they choose to continue in futsal with Northants or football with Kettering FC.
Price:
£25.00 per month
This class is covered by a regular payment every month.
Subscription: Northants Futsal sessions for the 2025/26 season will run for 38 weeks of the year.
Your payment plan covers you for all sessions. The sessions will run in 3 separate terms - Autumn, Winter and Spring.
Autumn Term: Sept - Dec
Winter Term: Jan - Apr
Spring Term: May - July
We will notify you of every term start and end date. Upon completion of each term you will automatically be enrolled onto the next term thus keeping your child's space. There is no cost for this and your monthly payment will remain the same.
Payments will only be taken on the 1st of the month when sessions are on (i.e no payment taken until September and last payment in July). We offer a sibling discount plan for £22.50 a month for each child. Please book all siblings on the same order and we will amend to the sibling plan when the order is received. Should you decide to leave during the season then payment for the remaining months of that term will be collected. If we are able to fill your space then we will cancel future payments immediately.
